Responsibilities
Establishes user needs and developing strategic plans from interactive communications among a variety of thematic departments
Manages multiple geospatial projects that require the traditional components of project management (user interviews, requirements gathering, business process evaluation, quality assurance, system design, etc.)
Writes and debugs computer code across the organization’s entire application architecture; including JavaScript, PHP, Python, JSON, XML, HTML, CSS, and shell scripting in both Windows and Linux environments
Develops browser-based applications that dynamically accommodate both mobile and desktop devices, as well as device-native solutions, such as mobile applications and thick client utilities (e.g. ArcGIS plugins)
Coordinates code reviews between all developers to promote abstracted, reusable code, enforce naming conventions and coding standards, encourage future-proof design and best practices, and identify scenarios requiring documentation
