Supervisory Civil Engineer
The US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking a Supervisory Civil Engineer to serve as Chief of the Construction Branch in the Vicksburg District. The role involves managing and overseeing engineering and construction activities, providing technical advice, and ensuring compliance with construction contract administration.

Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs the accomplishment of branch functions directly and through subordinate supervisory positions
Serves as expert engineer and technical advisor to the District Engineer, Chief of Engineering & Construction Division, Area and Resident engineers, Office of Counsel, Contracting Division, etc. on all construction contract management functions including modifications to design plans and specifications, changes to construction contracts, and contract claims
Provides oversight of special studies in connection with soils, concrete, electrical, mechanical and other construction within the District. Oversees the preparation of reports and recommends action on the basis of the results of the studies or analysis

Basic Requirement for Engineer series: (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level that demonstrates advanced technical leadership
Specialized experience must include most of the following: Management, supervision, coordination, and direction of engineering and construction products
Experience advising on unique technical issues with respect to engineering and construction including heavy civil works type construction projects
Experience with primary aspects of construction contract administration including quality management, schedules, progress payments, contract modifications, and claims/disputes
Review the work of subordinate employees for quality and compliance
The incumbent is required to file an OGE Form 450, Financial Disclosure Report upon entering on duty in this position and annually thereafter
The incumbent of this position must be a registered professional in accordance with the requirement in ER 690-1-958
All positions require the applicant to be a citizen of the United States
One year probationary period may be required
One year supervisory probationary period may be required
