Responsibilities
Identify and resolve safety risks and uncontrolled hazards
Use Daily Management and Problem Solving DIVE process to improve focus factory KPI’s – 4E risk score, Customer Complaints, First Pass Yield, Scrap, On Time Delivery, Production Lines Down, and Labor Productivity
Maintain accurate production data, including labor routings, BOM’s, part costs, cycle times, and standard work playbooks
Create and update manufacturing work instructions and validate manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment
Initiate engineering change orders and documentation changes in accordance with quality management system standards
Lead capital expense projects through all project phases
Coordinate changes cross-functionally with planning, purchasing, sourcing, quality, and R&D departments
Identify, prioritize, and lead continuous improvement initiatives using VES Lean Manufacturing tools
Provide input to product design teams to facilitate Lean Manufacturing production and Design for Manufacturability during all phases of New Product Introduction
Qualification
Required
B.S. or equivalent in related Engineering or Technology degree; or equivalent work experience
Proven experience leading technical projects
Demonstrated troubleshooting skills
CAD (2D/3D) experience
Preferred
3 - 5 years experience in related manufacturing environment preferred
Experience with design change processes (ECO/DCO) preferred
