Radiopharmaceutical Production Director
Daxor Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and organized Radiopharmaceutical Production Director to lead their team in radiopharmaceutical production. The role involves overseeing production, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing quality control, and leading a specialized team in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities
Managing the day-to-day manufacturing of products, and any third-party contracts
Ensuring all production activities strictly adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, including those set by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and any specific state regulations for Tennessee
Working closely with quality teams to ensure products meet all specifications and cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards
Hiring, training, and supervising a team of radiochemists, technicians, and other production personnel
Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and safety in the manufacturing process
Managing raw materials, ensuring a consistent supply of isotopes and other necessary components
Implementing and enforcing strict radiation safety protocols to protect employees and the public
Qualification
Required
3 years of experience in Radiopharmaceutical production
Ability to commute to Oak Ridge, TN 37830
Ability to relocate to Oak Ridge, TN 37830 before starting work

In-depth knowledge of the chemical and physical properties of radioactive materials, as well as the specific production processes for diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals
Expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques, as radiopharmaceuticals are often administered intravenously
Familiarity with quality control methods, including chromatography and other analytical techniques used to ensure product purity and potency
A strong understanding of radiation physics, dosimetry, and health physics principles
Proven ability to lead and motivate a technical and highly specialized team
Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis of production issues
Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams, regulatory agencies, and potential third-party clients
The ability to plan production schedules, manage budgets, and contribute to long-term business goals
