Responsibilities
Support in the development and implementation of new and improved products
Develop, execute, and document lab formulations following formulation sheets, SOPs, and quality standards
Maintain accurate, detailed, and organized laboratory records
Produce lab samples in a sanitary, safe, and quality-driven manner
Perform laboratory and bench-top testing including pH, Brix, titratable acidity (TA), and sensory evaluations
Support sensory testing activities, including sample preparation, execution, and data review
Interpret analytical and sensory data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and recommend solutions
Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Operations, Procurement, and Regulatory to ensure formulations are compliant, scalable, and manufacturing-ready
Support bench-to-pilot-to-plant scale-up activities, including plant trials as needed
Adhere to all food safety, lab safety, and quality requirements
Travel up to ~20% to off-site facilities, suppliers, or manufacturing locations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field
3 – 5 years experience in beverage, food, or consumer packaged goods development
Working knowledge of analytical testing (pH, Brix, TA) and sensory evaluation
Strong organizational, documentation, and data interpretation skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
