Command Center Specialist

Open Systems Technologies is seeking a Command Center Specialist to manage eDiscovery processes. The role involves executing searches in Microsoft 365 Purview for compliance requests, collaborating with the Information Security team, and ensuring confidentiality and legal compliance.

Responsibilities

Execute searches in Microsoft 365 Purview for Public Information Act (PIA) and FOIA requests involving email and Teams chat
Assist with gathering requirements, analyzing requests, and documenting search results
Collaborate with the Information Security team and CDA to ensure timely and accurate responses
Maintain confidentiality and compliance with organizational and legal standards
Provide recommendations for improving eDiscovery processes and query efficiency

Required

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT security, compliance, or eDiscovery-related roles
Microsoft 365 Purview eDiscovery: Hands-on experience performing content searches, advanced eDiscovery workflows, and case management
KQL (Keyword Query Language): Ability to write and optimize queries for email and Teams data searches
Familiarity with Microsoft compliance solutions (e.g., Data Loss Prevention, Information Governance)
Working knowledge of Exchange Online and Teams architecture for data retrieval
Understanding of security and network concepts such as Active Directory, SIEM, and vulnerability management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively for part-time engagements
Excellent communication skills for documenting and explaining technical findings

Preferred

Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900) or higher
Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate (SC-400) or similar compliance/security certifications
