Government Sales Account Executive

They are seeking a quota-carrying Government Sales Executive to drive growth across federal, defense, and select state and local markets, managing the full revenue lifecycle from pipeline creation to contract award.

Responsibilities

Drive predictable pipeline generation and bookings aligned with corporate growth objectives and investor expectations
Identify, qualify, and shape opportunities through targeted outbound engagement, relationship development, and participation in mission-relevant government and defense forums
Own and execute multi-year account strategies across Federal & DoW customers to exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets
Influence requirements definition, acquisition strategies, and solution alignment early in the procurement lifecycle to maximize probability of win
Lead end-to-end execution of complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles within FAR/DFARS-governed procurement environments
Navigate contracting vehicles (e.g., GSA, IDIQs, BAAs), resellers, integrators, and channel partners to accelerate awards and reduce cycle time
Coordinate closely with Client Success, delivery and leadership to ensure seamless transition from capture through contract award and deployment planning
Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene, accurate forecasting, and opportunity documentation to support executive and board-level reporting

Required

5+ years of experience in government or defense sales; preference for security technology, robotics, or SaaS environments
Demonstrated success navigating federal procurement processes and closing high-value, long-cycle contracts
Military or law enforcement background strongly preferred
Familiarity with government contracting vehicles (GSA Schedules, IDIQs, BAAs, etc.)
Strong consultative selling, executive communication, and capture-shaping skills
Ability to operate independently in a high-growth, performance-driven environment
Willingness and ability to travel up to 60%
