The Senior DBA will ensure data reliability and availability while supporting executive-level reporting and analytics.

Responsibilities
Own and maintain SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments
Ensure database performance, reliability, and availability
Support database-related infrastructure in on-prem and cloud environments
Maintain operational stability (-keeping the lights on-) while improving scalability
Manage database licenses and renewals
Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines (approximately 50% of the role)
Integrate data from third-party sources
Transform data for downstream analytics and reporting
Support executive-level reporting, the top priority for the role
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility
Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements
Lead and participate in discovery sessions
Act as a bridge between Business Analysts and technical teams
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
Qualification
Required
Experience in a similar role or significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
Experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments
Ability to ensure database performance, reliability, and availability
Experience supporting database-related infrastructure in on-prem and cloud environments
Ability to maintain operational stability while improving scalability
Experience managing database licenses and renewals
Ability to build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines
Experience integrating data from third-party sources
Ability to transform data for downstream analytics and reporting
Ability to support executive-level reporting
Ability to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility
Ability to partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements
Ability to lead and participate in discovery sessions
