Responsibilities
Support product development, lab studies, and scale-up activities for medical devices and drug-delivery systems
Design and execute DOE, functional testing, verification, and validation activities
Perform data analysis, technical reporting, and slide deck preparation for cross-functional reviews
Support tech transfer, process development, optimization, and manufacturing scale-up, including work with CMOs
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
Develop and review technical documentation (SOPs, validation protocols, reports)
Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and support investigations and risk assessments
Qualification
Required
Hands-on lab experience in biomedical or mechanical design, drug product stability, and primary container interactions
Experience with combination products, especially electro-mechanical pump devices and drug delivery systems
Strong understanding of product development and commercial-scale manufacturing
Excellent technical writing, data analysis, and presentation skills
Working knowledge of FDA/ISO standards, design controls, and cGMP
BS (1–5 years experience) required
Degrees in Biomedical, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical, or related Engineering fields
Preferred
MS preferred (0–3 years)
PhD acceptable (0–3 years)
