Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and program robotic systems using Fanuc and other industry-standard robotics platforms to automate manufacturing processes
Troubleshoot and resolve automation system issues through root cause analysis, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity
Collaborate with mechanical engineers and production teams to create detailed schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Program and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for various automated equipment, ensuring reliable operation within distributed control systems
Conduct system testing, validation, and commissioning of automation solutions in accordance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards
Develop and implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency
Perform regular inspections of vision inspection systems, tooling setups, and machining operations to uphold quality standards

Required

Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and SCADA interfaces for comprehensive automation management
Ability to perform root cause analysis on complex automation issues to identify solutions quickly
Skilled in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD tools for designing system layouts and modifications
Familiarity with vision inspection systems for quality assurance applications within manufacturing lines
