Responsibilities
Directs others toward preparation of a professional, economical, and effective product for each individual project
Works closely with personnel from other departments as necessary to ensure fulfillment of contract requirements
Manages a project team and multiple projects
Manages contract budgets and estimates to completion and updates as conditions change. Communicates scope of work changes with clients, including project schedule and budget impacts, and requests client approval before authorizing or performing such out-of-scope work
Prepares project proposals including scope of work, time, and estimated manpower
Serves as a mentor and Supervisor (as assigned) for junior and mid-level staff
Qualification
Required
Minimum of bachelor's degree in Surveying Engineering (or equivalent) or equivalent work experience
Minimum of ten years of surveying experience
Ability to and interest in managing projects
A working knowledge of modern survey techniques, and computer programs is required
Valid driver's license & reliable transportation required
Ability to reliably commute or relocate before starting work (Required)
Preferred
An advanced degree in the area of work specialization is desirable
Registration as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) in Florida, or ability to attain within 1 year, is preferred
Candidates who are currently registered as a Land Surveyor-in-Training (LSIT) are encouraged to apply
