Product Marketing Manager - Upstream/Downstream
EPM Scientific is partnered with a mid-size medical technology company shaping the future of surgical innovation. This role involves conducting market research, leading customer initiatives, and collaborating with various teams to influence product direction.
Responsibilities
Conduct deep market research to identify unmet clinical needs and early‑stage product opportunities
Lead voice‑of‑customer (VOC) initiatives and translate insights into product requirements and concepts
Build business cases, market models, and strategic recommendations for new product investments
Partner with R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, and Engineering teams during early product development
Support prototype evaluations, field testing, and customer feedback cycles
Define upstream value propositions, positioning, and strategic rationale for future product launches
Communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership and drive cross‑functional alignment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
3+ years upstream product marketing or early‑stage product management experience
Medical Device experience required, preferably in orthopedics, spine, and wound care
Strong skills in market analysis, competitive research, and customer insights development
Proven ability to translate clinical and market insights into structured product requirements
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams
Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
Ability to work onsite 4 days/week
