Responsibilities
Design, implement, configure, and support enterprise LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless, cabling, racking, and network security infrastructure
Analyze and resolve complex network issues through research, troubleshooting, and advanced network management practices
Apply advanced systems architecture and engineering expertise to improve network efficiency, resiliency, and scalability
Provide design input and technical leadership for all LAN/WAN network initiatives
Monitor and respond to system alerts using network monitoring and observability tools; configure and fine-tune monitoring systems
Maintain and upgrade network hardware, software, and tools to ensure ongoing supportability
Deliver advanced-level support for data network circuits across the enterprise footprint
Collaborate with leadership to define network roadmaps, future upgrades, and budget/resource needs
Participate in vendor evaluations, lab testing, and technology selection
Lead network-related projects, assign tasks as needed, and ensure delivery on time, within scope, and within budget
Create and maintain high-quality documentation for core and edge networks, products, and services
Act as a technical leader, influencing and mentoring team members through strong communication and work ethic
Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours or weekend support as required
Continuously enhance skills through training, workshops, and ongoing learning
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Advanced understanding of enterprise networking systems and network security technologies
Strong knowledge of Cisco VXLAN and Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (formerly Cisco DCNM)
Advanced proficiency in routing and switching protocols
Proven ability to design and support complex, high-availability network architectures
Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Excellent organizational and project management skills in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
Self-starter with the ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented culture
Resourceful, analytical, and highly effective in problem identification and incident resolution
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Ability to quickly learn and master new technologies and systems
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities
Strong understanding of business environments and operating policies
10+ years of experience in the network/communications field
Hands-on experience with Cisco VXLAN and/or Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (DCNM)
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related field
CCNP or CCDP certification, or willingness to obtain within two years
