Finance Manager
First Batch Hospitality is a winery company that creates memorable experiences for guests through food, wine, and events. The Finance Manager will oversee financial operations, manage cash flow, and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance across all locations.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain spreadsheets of daily sales transactions
Reconcile online store transactions to payments received
Oversee all bookkeeping functions for the Company using QuickBooks Online accounting software including but not limited to:
Maintain company data and chart of accounts
New vendor creation, including COI and W9 collection and updates, and vendor invoice entering
Vendor communications, including payment questions and statement reconciliation
Weekly check cutting
New customer creation and customer invoicing
Sales tax reconciliation for in-state and out-of-state sales
Daily transaction reconciliation from linked bank accounts and credit cards
Monthly bank reconciliation
End of month journal entries
Oversee all aspects of event billing/payment tracking
Send invoices to event clients through TripleSeat software platform and follow up on payment collection. Update client accounts and payment tracking
Send invoices to event clients through Authorize.net credit card payment portal and follow up on payment collection. Update client accounts and payment tracking
Process event gratuities and maintain tracking documents
Monthly sales manager commission reporting
Track and follow up on event deposit payments
Vendor commission tracking
Deposit checks and cash at local bank branch
Create and file monthly sales tax reports and payments
Provide administrative support during budget preparation
Identify and address account discrepancies
Prepare reports and pull relevant data for ongoing company compliance
Complete and submit new vendor credit applications pending approval of terms and conditions by Director of Finance
Support Corporate Team with any reporting/data/analyses that are requested
Qualification
Required
Excellent knowledge and substantial experience with QuickBooks Online
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets (creating spreadsheets and charts and using financial Excel functions)
Foundational knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) and bookkeeping procedures
Proven work experience as a Finance Administrator, Finance Assistant or similar role
Preferred
BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred as well as experience in the Hospitality Industry
