Risk Adjustment Analyst
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary contact for external audits—coordinating communication, timelines, and auditor requests
Manage, review, and submit all audit deliverables with a high degree of accuracy and completeness
Clarify audit requirements and processes with both internal teams and external partners
Act as a subject‑matter resource on audit workflows, documentation standards, and process improvement initiatives
Identify and communicate risks, including initiating corrective action workflows when needed
Support the creation and review of Corrective Action Plans
Provide clear, consistent reporting on audit milestones and outcomes
Maintain thorough documentation such as meeting notes, issues logs, and risk mitigation plans
Contribute to additional compliance activities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Audit, Compliance, Legal Studies, or a related field — or equivalent experience
3+ years in auditing, risk adjustment, or compliance roles
Risk Adjustment and HCC coding experience is required
Medicare experience is required
Active coding credential from AHIMA or AAPC (required)
Preferred
Working knowledge of risk adjustment regulatory requirements is preferred
Prior experience with regulatory audits in risk adjustment is a plus
Preferred credentials include CPMA, RHIA, RHIT, or a specialized Risk Adjustment certification
