Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
Create and maintain 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs
Design parts using die casting, sheet metal, plastic, and machined components
Support prototype build, testing, and production release
Work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and vendors for design for manufacturability
Drive cost reduction initiatives, VAVE, and value engineering programs
Lead vendor development and qualification activities
Manage engineering changes and product lifecycle documentation
Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams
Participate in design reviews and project meetings
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in product design and mechanical engineering
Strong experience in die casting and development of metal, plastic, and casted parts
Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD
Strong knowledge of sheet metal and casting design principles
Experience in supply chain management and vendor development
Expertise in cost reduction strategies, VAVE, and value engineering
Experience supporting products from prototype to production
Good understanding of supply chain engineering and logistics coordination
Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills
Preferred
Experience in consumer electronics, gaming, or industrial product design
Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis
Exposure to global manufacturing environments
