Responsibilities
Develop and lead sourcing strategies for contractor services
Negotiate supply agreements with key suppliers & distributors resulting in measurable total cost benefits
Interface between global supplier base, New Product Development and Operations to identify new and innovative technologies
Understand and bring market intelligence, supplier knowledge and a key understanding of the use of materials in the manufacturing process
Produce annual budgets for key materials using statistical, historical and market data
Provide monthly price and market updates as a measure against budget. Provide monthly pricing as needed to manufacturing sites
Work with Regulatory Affairs team and suppliers to ensure 100% regulatory compliance
Facilitate meetings to drive cost savings initiatives. This means demonstrating the ability to develop agendas, lead meetings, and document & publish critical results
Qualification
Required
B.S in Supply Chain or related field from a four-year accredited college or university
At least 3-5 years' experience in procurement or a related field
General understanding of supplier markets and ability to perform market analysis
Strong Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word) and analytical skills
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of the organization
Ability to travel as needed for conferences, trainings, meetings, etc. (~ 15%)
Preferred
Experience negotiating a commodity price that moves with an index
CPSM or CPM certification
