Responsibilities
Lead development of optical, photonic, and vision subsystems for medical imaging
Design, prototype, integrate, and test imaging systems (sensors, optics, illumination)
Own image acquisition firmware support and hardware bring-up (Linux, MIPI, I²C, SPI)
Build and operate an internal optics & imaging lab (MTF, SNR, radiometry, IQ testing)
Drive opto-mechanical integration, alignment, tolerances, and DFM
Partner cross-functionally and support regulatory, V&V, and DHF activities
Qualification
Required
5+ years in optics, photonics, imaging, or vision systems (med device strongly preferred)
Proven hands-on lab, prototyping, and testing experience
Experience with image sensors, illumination (LED/laser/NIR), and IQ metrics
Exposure to embedded firmware and imaging interfaces
Comfortable in ambiguity; startup or early-stage experience a plus
