Power Systems Project Engineer
FootBridge is a company that specializes in power systems for military bases and critical facilities. They are seeking a Power Systems Project Engineer who will design and plan electrical distribution systems while gaining hands-on experience and mentorship from licensed Professional Engineers.
Responsibilities
Plan and design electrical distribution systems primarily for military base power infrastructure
Analyze and model electrical loads to support system growth and reliability
Perform power system studies including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and relay coordination
Work under experienced PEs while developing technical and project leadership skills
Support project coordination, schedules, and task assignments
Participate in site visits, client meetings, and technical presentations
Review designs and construction documents for quality and compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology
2–5 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of Sag10, load flow, short circuit analysis, and relay coordination
Experience with distribution planning tools (e.g., WindMil and/or CYME)
Familiarity with time-current coordination and protection devices (breakers, fuses, reclosers)
Ability to identify electrical hazards and support safe system design
Interest in power systems, utilities, or distribution engineering
Willingness to travel regionally up to 20%
Strong communication and teamwork skills
