Systems Administrator II
City of Atlanta is seeking a Systems Administrator II to manage an enterprise-level permitting, licensing, and case management platform. The role involves configuration, administration, and support of the system while acting as a liaison between business users, IT, and vendors.

Responsibilities
Configure, and maintain enterprise-level permitting, licensing, and case management platform and related infrastructure
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability of Permitting Platform
Provide technical support to end-users, addressing issues related to enterprise-level permitting, licensing, and case management platform and escalating complex problems to Permitting Platform’s support team
Work with the Office of Buildings Operations staff to develop and deliver training sessions for users to enhance their proficiency with the software
Configure enterprise-level permitting, licensing, and case management platform modules and features based on business requirements and user needs
Customize workflows, forms, and reports to align with organizational processes and standards
Manage user roles and permissions, ensuring appropriate access levels and security
Support integration of enterprise-level permitting, licensing, and case management platform with other systems and applications as needed
Work with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to custom integrations or modifications
Participate in the design and implementation of new features or enhancements to the system
Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps
Generate and review system performance reports and metrics, providing recommendations for improvements
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in system administration, specifically with a permitting platform
Strong understanding of a permitting platform's Building & Planning Modules and configuration options
Strong understanding of a permitting platform's public facing platform and configuration options
Experience with a permitting platform's GIS Mapping feature and configuration options
Experience with a permitting platform mobile inspector and configuration options
Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to a permitting platform
Experience with database management, SQL, and scripting languages
Experience with creating and editing Crystal Reports
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Understanding of relational databases, security roles, and system integrations
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology (Additional years of experience may be considered as a substitute for the required degree on an exceptional basis, with a minimum of nine (9) years of direct professional work experience)
Five (5+) years' direct work experience with Permitting Platform's system architecture
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics or a related field, or 10+ years' direct work experience with Permitting Platform's system architecture
3+ years' experience with SQL, and other scripting languages
3+ years of experience in enterprise application administration; experience with Oracle Public Sector products preferred
5+ years' experience with Accela Automation
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Certification
Oracle Certified Associate – Siebel CRM or Public Sector Licensing and Permitting
