Bell-Textron Inc. is seeking a Gear, Cut & Grind technician to support our manufacturing operations at our Drive Systems Center. The role involves setting up and operating gear manufacturing equipment to produce various gears while ensuring close tolerances and assisting in the development of new gear cutting processes.

Responsibilities

Sets up and operates all types of gear manufacturing equipment including gear cutters, gear grinders, gear shavers, lapping machines, etc., to produce a wide variety of gears and splines including spiral bevel, helical and hypoid gears
Setups and work must be held to extremely close tolerances
Advises and assists in development of new gears and gear cutting processes
Tests and checks gears using gear testing and checking machines and equipment
Sets up and/or performs all grinding on case hardened surfaces

Required

Three years experience as a Gear Cutter and Grinder plus two years of related experience
