The role involves designing and implementing membrane bioreactor package treatment systems and improving existing products and processes to meet industry needs.

Responsibilities
Design systems to safely, efficiently, and effectively treat wastewater, remove harmful substances, and return water to the ecosystem; creates municipal and industrial treatment plants for water and wastewater
Take inputs from multiple disciplines and evaluate and implement design parameters for the systems
Select equipment to meet design parameters
Evaluate existing equipment and emerging technologies to keep system design at the forefront of the industry
Coordinate with mechanical design team to design the system and generate standard drawings
Standardize design and generate template documentation to support products
Support a multi-discipline team on technical questions related to the product
Conducts market analysis to determine worthwhile products to develop
Experience with PLM (product lifecycle management) and version control
Experience with operational logic control (control narratives) a plus
Knowledge of statistical methods and reliability engineering a plus
Maintains knowledge and subject matter expertise
Detail oriented person who is able to work independently
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, other engineering disciplines are acceptable with relevant experience
Previous experience in the wastewater/water treatment industry is also preferred, but not required
Previous experience in designing mechanical systems (pumps, piping systems, aeration systems) is also preferred, but not required
Experience with PLM (product lifecycle management) and version control
Detail oriented person who is able to work independently
Applicant must have a clean DMV record
Preferred
Experience with operational logic control (control narratives) a plus
Knowledge of statistical methods and reliability engineering a plus
