Responsibilities

Design, build, and optimize batch and real-time data pipelines using Python, SQL, Airflow, Kafka, and AWS Glue

Lead scalable ETL and data lake architectures across distributed cloud environments

Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance while supporting analytics and data science needs

Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver reliable, well-documented data solutions

3+ years of experience in statistical modeling and applied data analysis, including regression, classification, clustering, and time-series analysis

Proficient in Python or R, with hands-on experience in data wrangling, visualization, and model development

Strong experience with SQL/Spark SQL, basic data modeling, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Excellent ability to communicate complex insights and manage multiple priorities effectively

Lead and mentor data engineering teams while architecting and building enterprise-scale data platforms from design through production

Develop and optimize production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and data warehouses using Python, SQL, PySpark, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)

Implement CI/CD, data governance, quality frameworks, and secure, compliant data solutions aligned with federal/VA standards

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality data solutions
