Benefits Assistant
Gibson Dunn is a leading global law firm, advising clients on significant transactions and disputes. The Benefits Assistant will provide clerical support to the Benefits Department, assisting with various tasks related to employee benefits and COBRA processes.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Creating, monitoring, and maintaining employee and partner files
Scheduling and arranging new hire benefits orientations
Monitoring new hire automated benefits notices, assisting with open enrollment, ordering supplies, and organizing and coordinating mass mailing projects
Assisting with COBRA process and generating initial COBRA notices and COBRA termination notices
Maintaining various logs, performing monthly audits of insurance plans, reconciling and processing payment of monthly bills for various insurance plans
Analyzing data and running PeopleSoft processes
Maintaining updated desk procedures
Performing and providing support for special projects as needed
Qualification
Required
Highly organized to effectively plan, track, evaluate and follow-up on multiple priorities for multiple people
Excellent interpersonal skills and sense of urgency around customer service
Excellent oral and written communication skills
High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
Ability to work overtime as necessary
College degree required
Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel skills
Preferred
Some experience in Benefits or Human Resources department strongly preferred
Experience in benefits or financial analysis and administration
