Head Start Disabilities Content Manager/Behavioral Health Specialist

Responsibilities

Content Managers are responsible for; planning and administering of the specified content area(s) services for children and families. Services must be coordinated with staff in other content areas and must include ongoing assessment of the quality of services provided
Maintain record keeping and reporting systems, including content area operational plans, written policies & procedures in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards, and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations as well as keeping up to date and accurate records of all ongoing monitoring, and meetings with site staff
Work collaboratively with all content managers and members of the leadership team to design, evaluate and implement a program which enhances data driven management systems and a decision-making organization that supports children, families and staff
Collaborate with state and community partners for recruitment, and as needed to enhance disability and mental health consultant services

Required

Bachelor's degree, preferably in fields like Special Education, Early Childhood, Child Development, or related therapies (OT/PT/SLP)
Significant experience (often 2-3+ years) in disability services, management, and working with young children/families
Strong understanding of Head Start Performance Standards
Key skills include leadership, strong communication, problem-solving, database management
Ability to travel to all of the 8 Head Start locations within Carroll, Coos and Grafton counties for ongoing monitoring and support for children, staff and families
