Payroll Administrator

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Payroll Administrator to join our client’s team. This role focuses heavily on Excel and involves compiling payroll data, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and supporting employees with payroll-related inquiries.

Responsibilities

Accurately compile, enter, and review payroll data for all employees in assigned companies
Collaborate with managers to verify hours and address payroll-related questions
Ensure payroll processes comply with federal, state, and local labor laws
Maintain organized payroll records and generate regular payroll reports
Oversee employee vacation and sick leave requests, monitor balances, and manage accruals
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries
Process updates to W-4s, direct deposits, addresses, and manage garnishments
Issue manual checks as needed to ensure accurate payroll
Assist with verification of employment eligibility for all employees
Prepare scheduled and ad hoc reports, including time card audits, turnover analysis, and benefits tracking
Support special projects and company events, occasionally requiring travel within the OKC metro area
Provide backup assistance to other HR team members as needed

Qualification

Microsoft ExcelPayroll experienceUltiPro familiarityTax experienceCommunication skillsDetail-oriented

Required

Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF Statements, SUMIF, Subtotaling; basic VBA knowledge is a plus but not required)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and able to handle confidential information

Preferred

Bachelor's degree
2+ years of payroll experience
Familiarity with UltiPro Core, BI, and garnishment processing
Tax experience
