Responsibilities

Responding to any emergency or potential emergency
Security diligence, including maintaining control of personal key cards, preventing unauthorized entry to the facility by non-Berry employees, and proper maintenance / security of Berry information and equipment within your direct responsibility
Constant vigilance and participation in Food Safety policies, practices and procedures
Prevent nonconforming product from being shipped to customers
Identify and record problems relating to product, process and quality system
Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any non-conformity of product or quality systems
Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels
Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes, or systems and verify the implementation of solutions
Observe all Safety, Food Safety and Plant rules/requirements to prevent injury to self or others and to prevent loss of material or damage to equipment
Follow and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Maintain good housekeeping and 5S
Raw material incoming inspection, testing and approval / rejection communication as necessary
Management of raw material documentation and retains
Complete 24 hour hold area activities after MRB review
Assist QA Technicians with backtracking as needed
Assist with continuous improvement activities as assigned
Back-up QA Technician as needed

Qualification

Required

Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs
Maintain an attendance record within company guidelines and working required overtime
High school diploma or GED equivalency. Read, write and speak English
Past experience / proven ability within the specified disciplines
Negative drug screen test results
Capable of differentiating between colors and shades of color

Preferred

Computer experience with MS Word and MS Excel
Effective communication skills
Basic hand gage equipment
