Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment, including trucks, cranes, loaders, and excavators
Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot to identify necessary repairs or replacements
Maintain and repair vehicle engines, brakes, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other critical systems
Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safety
Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and relevant regulations
Assist in coordinating parts ordering and inventory management for necessary equipment repairs
Maintain clean and organized work areas, following all safety and cleanliness guidelines
Communicate effectively with the maintenance team and other departments to ensure timely completion of repairs
Respond to emergency repairs as required to minimize operational disruptions

Required

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in the construction or heavy equipment industry
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in the construction or heavy equipment industry
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs
Ability to work with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
Valid driver's license
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and during evening/weekend shifts if required
Must be able to use various hand tools or controls
Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, occasionally
Physically able to push, pull, lift, bend, climb, kneel, twist, squat, crawl and use hands/forearms repetitively and frequently
Ability to move around for up to 12 hours per day
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and relevant regulations
Assist in coordinating parts ordering and inventory management for necessary equipment repairs
Maintain clean and organized work areas, following all safety and cleanliness guidelines
Communicate effectively with the maintenance team and other departments to ensure timely completion of repairs
Respond to emergency repairs as required to minimize operational disruptions

Preferred

Certification in diesel mechanics or related fields (preferred but not required)
