Marketing and Visual Communications Strategist
The Humanity Share is a mission-driven organization focused on breaking cycles of poverty in East African communities. They are seeking a Marketing & Visual Communications Strategist to create high-quality content and visual materials that elevate their brand and support fundraising efforts.
Responsibilities
Design and produce digital and print marketing materials, including social media graphics and videos, email campaigns, campaign assets, presentations, reports, event materials, and donor-facing content
Translate stories, data, and impact into clear, compelling visual narratives
Create content for digital newsletters, campaigns, special events and digital storytelling initiatives
Maintain and evolve visual brand standards in alignment with THS’s values and voice
Support the development and execution of THS’s marketing and communications strategy in collaboration with the CEO
Manage and implement social media content, including content calendars and basic performance tracking
Assist with website content updates and basic site management
Help summarize marketing and campaign performance for internal use and donor reporting
Use existing marketing tools and systems effectively, with openness to improving workflows over time
Collaborate closely with Kenya-based team members and photography/videography contractors as needed to support aligned, respectful, and dignified storytelling
Support the CEO by creating donor engagement materials, reports, and presentations
Help refine processes and priorities to ensure marketing efforts remain focused and sustainable within a part-time scope
Qualification
Required
Strong graphic design skills with the ability to independently produce high-quality visual assets
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma, or comparable design tools
Strong written communication skills and storytelling ability
Solid design sensibility, including layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
Ability to think strategically about audience, message, and impact
Basic project management skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively

Able to take direction and feedback while also bringing creative ideas forward
