Responsibilities
Review all necessary loan documents, and work with outside counsel to ensure that all required documents are complete and accurate
Ensure adequate approval authority is obtained prior to closings
Identify and perform necessary pre-closing lien searches
Ensure adequate insurance is obtained prior to closing
Confirm and verify collateral values, as required in the approval
Review and determine that all required documentation is in place and acceptable for closing a loan; at times may have to inform the appropriate personnel that the loan cannot be closed until certain documents to protect the Bank’s position are obtained
Review existing documentation for loan relationship with Bank for renewals and increases
Produce Laser Pro documents for in house closings
Upload collected documentation into the Bank’s imaging system
Complete the auto-generated checklists in the Bank’s system of record
Address and clear any exceptions in bank system of record as it relates to loan closer due diligence
Assist in other duties and special projects as requested
Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Solid understanding of loan documentation and closing procedures
Ability to work independently on complex issues
Experience in reviewing loan documentation with attorneys
Ability to produce Laser Pro documentation for in house closings
Authority to inform personnel that the loan cannot be closed until certain documents are received
Ability to ensure loan is closed in accordance with approval and protect the Bank's interests
Experience in reviewing all necessary loan documents
Ability to ensure adequate approval authority is obtained prior to closings
Experience in identifying and performing necessary pre-closing lien searches
Ability to ensure adequate insurance is obtained prior to closing
Experience in confirming and verifying collateral values
Ability to review and determine that all required documentation is in place for closing a loan
Experience in reviewing existing documentation for loan relationship with Bank for renewals and increases
Ability to upload collected documentation into the Bank's imaging system
Experience in completing auto-generated checklists in the Bank's system of record
