Responsibilities

Assists in the design and/or project/process management of new and current projects, products, programs, components, tools, and acceptance equipment under technical guidance of higher-level engineers
Assists in the preparation of product or project definitions, manufacturing drawings and specifications, operating procedures, and test equipment designs
Assists in the development of electrical and/or environmental test procedures and performance of routine to moderately complex engineering evaluation tests, product and process capability studies, quality audits, product or project data reviews, and other engineering evaluation work
Defines and acquires tooling, cables, and other equipment necessary to manufacture/inspect parts to assure product quality
Interacts with design agencies, suppliers and/or internal organizations to assist in resolving design, development, productions, and acceptance issues
Evaluates and makes recommendations regarding technological advances that improve productivity and quality, reduce flowtime, and enhance operational surety

Required

Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited university in Engineering or Physics
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
United States Citizenship
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

Preferred

Previous relevant internship experience or equivalent preferred
Demonstrated analytical skills and experience with mathematical computations and computer software applications
Demonstrated established technical methodologies to routine engineering projects
