The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control is seeking a Watch Center Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support for various program areas. Responsibilities

24/7/365 (including days, nights, weekends and holidays) OK Watch Center console coverage for the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics - monitor, assess, and manage requests for information and assistance received by telephone, email, and tip hotlines
Provide support functions for the OBN Interdiction Unit and other OBN units while in the field on operations via radio communications and additional search databases
Writes intel reports in record management system for interdiction seizures. Sends out required email distribution of interdiction seizures and keeps log of these reports
Perform security and safety functions for OBN properties monitor CCTV, alarm systems, building and gate access
Use OLETS, NLETS, & NCIC and other investigative resources to conduct and respond to inquiries on criminal history, backgrounds, vehicle registrations, wanted/missing/stolen searches, and other investigative support requests
Maintains operations for OBN HQ afterhours that could also include normal business hours as needed to cover for front desk receptionist including opening/closing lobby, greeting and acknowledging visitors, maintaining front end security and verifying identity, following procedures for logging visitors, evidence, subpoenas, logging and distributing mail
Perform outside LE agency’s applicant background requests in our record management system and respond accordingly
Assists compliance inspectors with required backgrounds – OLETS, NLETS, NCIC
Responds and/or directs incoming requests for HIDTA Case deconfliction entries for Oklahoma state coverage 24/7 and after-hours coverage for Texoma HIDTA initiatives
Acts as after-hours emergency call out service for the State Fire Marshall’s Office -to include fielding regular office calls and urgent requests, contacting on call Fire Marshall and assisting with investigative case research
Assists other units within OBN with data entry into record management system
Assists Registration/PMP division running backgrounds on registrants
Monitors assigned covert electronic devices as needed and documents activity during shift
Assists with ODOC terminal and console operations as needed
Records daily shift activity in central watch center console log
Maybe assigned special projects to assist on within the Watch Center or from another OBN unit
Prioritization of all these combined work duties to support law enforcement in a timely manner
Represents agency, supervising official, or program area at meetings and/or conferences

Required

Completion of 60 hours from an accredited college or university
Three (3) years' experience relevant to the essential tasks listed in this job description
Selected Applicants must pass a rigid character and background investigation, a drug screen, and polygraph examination
Knowledge of spelling and punctuation
Knowledge of modern office methods and procedures
Knowledge of the maintenance of complex records
Knowledge of the major policies and procedures governing assigned programs
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others
Ability to handle confidential work
Ability to interpret and handle routine matters in accordance with agency policy
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
