Responsibilities
Define and execute the strategic roadmap for Epic Revenue Cycle applications, aligning with organizational financial and operational goals
Lead and manage cross-functional teams in the design, implementation, and optimization of revenue cycle technology solutions
Develop and oversee long-term IT strategy and budgeting for revenue cycle management, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency
Identify, recommend, and implement emerging technologies, such as AI and automation, to improve workflows and financial performance
Direct system upgrades, enhancements, testing, validation, and troubleshooting, ensuring minimal operational disruption
Establish KPIs, process improvement strategies, and foster accountability for Epic revenue cycle team outcomes
Collaborate with leadership, clinical, finance, and IS staff to communicate initiatives and educate teams about Epic enhancements and best practices
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal controls, and company policies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or certification in a related specialty
Epic Certifications relevant to revenue cycle applications (required)
5+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management for hospitals or ambulatory clinics
Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes, systems, and legal/regulatory requirements
Proven ability to analyze and document complex business requirements
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills
Preferred
Formal certification or advanced training in healthcare revenue cycle or Epic optimization
Experience managing large-scale technology-enabled transformation initiatives
Familiarity with industry best practices and continuous professional education in revenue cycle management
Background in process improvement using project management tools
Prior experience mentoring and developing staff within healthcare IT teams
