Responsibilities
Engineer and specify broadcast and media equipment based on project requirements
Develop technical concepts, system designs, drawings, documentation, and run lists
Attend and participate in client design reviews and technical discussions
Configure, test, and commission systems and equipment, including vendor-led deployments
Support build and integration activities across media systems and infrastructure
Deliver accurate as-built drawings and final technical documentation
Interface with stakeholders ranging from engineering teams to end users, including support for training when needed
Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues across video, audio, control, and network components
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of experience in media systems or broadcast engineering design, build, and deployment
Strong knowledge of: Video systems (HD-SDI, 4K)
Strong knowledge of: Digital audio systems
Strong knowledge of: Control systems
Strong knowledge of: General networking principles
Working knowledge of SMPTE 2110 standards and practices
Familiarity with infrastructure fiber installation
Experience creating technical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred
Experience with NMOS IS-04/05 communication protocols
Additional SMPTE 2110 implementation experience
Exposure to A&E / MEP space planning, electrical, or HVAC coordination
Experience with IPAM/DCIM database platforms
Familiarity with Microsoft Visio
Prior experience supporting enterprise or regulated-industry environments
