US Customs Entry Writer & In-Bond Specialist (4415)

Radiant World Trade Services is seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced U.S. Customs Entry Writer & In-Bond Specialist to support our growing brokerage operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance, accurate customs filings, and the efficient movement of cargo throughout the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and transmit formal and informal customs entries (e.g., Type 01, 11) in compliance with CBP regulations
Review commercial invoices, packing lists, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and mitigate compliance risk
Monitor shipment movements and communicate with clients on missing documents or entry details to ensure timely releases
Validate HTSUS classifications and ensure proper valuation is reported to Customs
Identify and submit required filings for Partner Government Agencies (PGAs), including FDA, EPA, USDA, and Lacey Act
Maintain high standards of data accuracy and regulatory compliance to minimize penalties and delays
Create and process in-bond (CBP Form 7512) documentation for I.T. (Immediate Transportation), T&E (Transportation & Exportation), and IE (Immediate Exportation) movements
Monitor and manage open in-bonds to ensure timely messaging, in compliance with regulatory deadlines
Coordinate with bonded warehouses, carriers, terminals, and internal teams to ensure proper cargo movement
Resolve 'Vessel Not Arrived' or 'In-Bond Open' status issues to prevent liquidated damages and compliance exposure

Required

2 - 5 years of experience in U.S. Customs brokerage or international logistics
Strong working knowledge of CBP regulations, including 19 CFR and HTS classification
Proven experience managing in-bond movements and tracking via the ACE portal
Ability to analyze and interpret commercial invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin
Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with CBP and clients
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to provide timely updates to internal and external stakeholders

Preferred

Proficiency with customs brokerage software; CargoWise Next (formally CW1) experience strongly preferred
Maintains a high level of accuracy, ensuring work is completed correctly the first time
Strong time management skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Proactive problem-solver with experience resolving holds, exams, and documentation discrepancies
Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with evolving trade regulations, AD/CVD, and tariff programs
