Responsibilities
Oversee commercial and general liability matters, including strategy, discovery, depositions, hearings, and outside counsel management
Lead and maintain the company’s insurance program, including procurement, renewals, and broker relationships
Advise on claims, liability issues, and risk mitigation strategies
Analyze loss data and provide recommendations to senior legal leadership
Support and lead risk management functions, including claims handling and workers’ compensation
Partner with ownership-level legal teams on litigation, compliance, and exposure management
Draft and review agreements, policies, and procedures to minimize legal risk
Oversee internal investigations, compliance efforts, and training initiatives
Mentor junior legal team members and support cross-functional business projects
Qualification
Required
6+ years of legal experience, including at least 2 years in-house or within a risk management function
Strong background in litigation and insurance procurement
Experience leading or significantly contributing to risk management operations
Excellent legal writing, organizational, and communication skills
Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
