Responsibilities
Design and build core infrastructure platforms to support enterprise applications and services
Architect and implement new Kubernetes clusters, with a focus on space planning, scalability, and performance
Lead the design and setup of virtualized environments using OpenShift (on KVM hypervisors) and VMware ESXi
Define and implement infrastructure best practices and standards across the organization
Work closely with application architects and product teams to align infrastructure design with business needs
Provide subject matter expertise in Linux-based infrastructure and automation where required (without a DevOps focus)
Qualification
Required
Strong engineering background in infrastructure architecture and systems design
Hands-on experience with building Kubernetes infrastructure (not just operating it)
Deep knowledge of OpenShift in engineering/design context, including usage on KVM hypervisors
Expertise in VMware hypervisor environments (ESXi)
Solid experience with Linux systems engineering
Proven ability to design and build platforms/products—not just support or deploy them
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred
Experience integrating infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines (as an advisor, not executor)
Familiarity with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments
Exposure to infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible) at an architectural level
