Responsibilities
Prepare and lead detailed electrical estimates from conceptual budgeting through hard-bid execution
Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents to fully define scope, exclusions, and project risk
Perform comprehensive electrical quantity takeoffs using Accubid Anywhere as the primary estimating platform
Develop complete estimates including labor, material, equipment, subcontracted work, overhead, and profit
Establish bid strategies, assumptions, and value-engineering options to enhance competitiveness and accuracy
Coordinate with project management, operations, and preconstruction teams to ensure a smooth project handoff
Solicit, evaluate, and level vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure complete and competitive bids
Maintain current knowledge of NEC requirements, regional codes, labor productivity, and market pricing across the Eastern U.S
Qualification
Required
7+ years of electrical estimating experience in commercial, industrial, healthcare, institutional, or mixed-use construction
Advanced knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable regional building codes
Proven, hands-on proficiency with Accubid Anywhere
Proficiency with supporting tools such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Trimble, or similar takeoff and document platforms
Strong leadership, decision-making, and bid strategy skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams
Excellent communication, organization, and time-management abilities
