Responsibilities
Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with the organization's goals. This includes setting key performance indicators (KPIs) for productivity, speed, and order accuracy
Ensure safety is a critical element of every person’s success and effectiveness
Partner and align with the general managers and their sites on logistics priorities and strategic goals, including creating a customer-centric high performing team
Oversee daily logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and distribution. Ensure that all processes are efficient and cost-effective
Manage and coordinate logistics teams, including warehouse staff, transportation personnel, and customer service representatives. This involves recruiting, training, and evaluating team members
Ensure that all logistics activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Monitor quality control processes to maintain high service levels
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and transportation partners to negotiate contracts and secure favorable terms
Analyze logistical challenges and develop proactive solutions to improve efficiency and resolve issues as they arise
Review and implement technology solutions to streamline logistics processes and improve visibility
Lead multiple medium and large projects
Identify opportunities to improve Logistics processes and implement best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
10+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management
At least 5 years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of transportation management, warehouse operations, and inventory control
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong leadership and communication abilities
Detail-oriented and ability to organize work activities in highly ambiguous situations
Advanced Excel Skills applied to large multi-variable datasets to extract/compile/analyze/interpret results
Strong problem-identification and analytical skills
Ability to lead with your actions and voice
Preferred
Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
Experience across multiple sites
Knowledge of supply chain modeling, WMS and TMS tools
Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems (SAP and M2M)
