Processing all administrative and financial components of financial clearance for multiple specialties
Ability to escalate requests in a timely manner and triage complex cases
Work independently independent of supervision
Knowledgeable of financial clearance functions
Problem solve functional level issues
Provide input from an operational perspective on decision-making
Cross train staff to perform duties
Managing by service line
Complex multi-payer insurance verification
Benefit eligibility validation and prior authorizations
Obtaining and completing documentation for pre-certification and referrals/authorizations
Qualification
Required
Requires minimum of Associates degree. Work experience may substitute degree (i.e. 2 years of experience for 1 year of education)
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, medical office, hospital, patient access or related
Advanced knowledge of medical and insurance terminology
Working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations desired
Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes as they relate to financial clearance
