The role involves designing pressure vessels, conducting detailed analyses, ensuring compliance with standards, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.

Responsibilities
Lead the design and engineering of pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, and storage tanks for oil and gas equipment such as gas lift systems, ESP housings, and surface separation vessels
Perform detailed mechanical, thermal, and structural analyses, including stress analysis using FEA tools
Conduct life assessments to ensure vessel integrity and long-term reliability
Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards including: ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (Section VIII Div 1 & 2), API 650 / API 620, NBIC regulations
Prepare and review engineering drawings, technical specifications, data sheets, and design documentation
Review and approve vendor drawings, calculations, and design changes
Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, QA, and field operations teams
Support constructability improvements and resolution of technical issues
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
Qualification
Required
Strong background in pressure vessel and boiler design
Experience in Oil & Gas industry equipment design
Proficiency in mechanical design and engineering analysis
Hands-on experience with FEA tools for stress analysis
Strong knowledge of ASME BPVC, API, and NBIC standards
Experience with vendor coordination and design review
Excellent technical documentation and communication skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Preferred
Experience with gas lift equipment, ESP housings, and separation vessels
Knowledge of fabrication and inspection processes
Familiarity with corrosion allowance, fatigue, and fracture mechanics considerations
