They are seeking a contract role for an experienced Shop/Vendor Expeditor responsible for monitoring and reporting on the fabrication progress of Electric Heaters at Chromalox, ensuring schedule adherence and supplier performance.

Responsibilities
Track fabrication progress and verify that the supplier’s production schedule aligns with clients required delivery dates
Observe and report on shop activities, including welding, coating, PMI, and assembly stages
Monitor the status of open SQR action items and follow up on the closure of outstanding documentation and non-conformances
Confirm that all drawing and submittal revisions are properly implemented on the shop floor and coordinated through Aconex
Review and update component procurement and material shortage lists to ensure timely availability of parts and subassemblies
Verify supplier communication responsiveness and note any issues impacting schedule or quality
Support Supplier Quality by coordinating expediting visits, issuing updates on material readiness, and confirming progress against recovery plans
Report any schedule risks, manpower constraints, or fabrication delays and recommend mitigation measures
Qualification
Required
Experience as a Shop/Vendor Expeditor with electrical commodity experience
Ability to monitor and report on fabrication progress
Skills in verifying schedule adherence and manpower availability
Experience in documentation status tracking and supplier performance evaluation
Ability to observe and report on shop activities including welding, coating, PMI, and assembly stages
Experience in monitoring the status of open SQR action items
Ability to confirm implementation of drawing and submittal revisions on the shop floor
Skills in reviewing and updating component procurement and material shortage lists
Ability to verify supplier communication responsiveness
Experience in supporting Supplier Quality by coordinating expediting visits
Ability to report schedule risks, manpower constraints, or fabrication delays
