Responsibilities

Work Shift: Day Shift (Full-time) with on-call requirement
Procedural Patient Care: Provide complete nursing care for patients before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures
Clinical Competence: Administer contrast media and conscious sedation per policy, demonstrate IV competence, and prepare sterile trays/catheters for procedures
Safety & Compliance: Execute pre-procedural verifications, time-outs, and site marking. Verify patient ID using two identifiers and ensure all orders are clarified and followed correctly
Coordination & Communication: Coordinate daily patient schedules, transport patients, and serve as a key communication link between patients, families, and physicians. Review cases with physicians as needed
Emergency Response: Maintain ACLS/BLS certification and assist in emergency situations in a decisive, composed manner
Patient Education: Provide thorough patient and family education, including post-procedural home care instructions
On-Call Duty: Must be flexible with hours and participate in the scheduled on-call rotation to meet department needs

Required

Registered Nurse (RN)
Interventional Radiology
ICU/CCU/ER or Cath Lab Experience
BLS
ACLS
Current Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license or Multi-State Compact RN license
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required upon hire
Previous experience in ICU, CCU, ER, or Cath Lab is required
Must possess strong critical thinking, excellent time management, and collaborative customer service skills
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies appropriately
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Possess basic computer skills

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
