ARA is an employee-owned international research and engineering company seeking a detail-oriented individual to operate, maintain, and repair pavement data collection equipment for highway infrastructure assessment. This role involves travel throughout the State and requires mechanical ability and basic computer knowledge, with training provided as needed.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, and repair specialized pavement data collection equipment for highway infrastructure assessment
Perform office-based activities, such as equipment maintenance and data processing
Travel throughout the State as needed for work

Required

Must be at least 21 years old and have an excellent driving record
Must be willing and available to travel, sometimes for a week or more at a time
Must have basic computer knowledge, such as sending/receiving email, and Microsoft Word or Google documents
Must have mechanical ability; previous mechanical experience preferred (e.g., performing routine inspections and/or troubleshooting issues with automobiles, aircraft, or related specialized equipment)

Preferred

Previous experience operating pavement testing equipment is a plus (e.g., pavement profiler, falling weight deflectometer, ground penetrating radar, digital survey vehicle, high-speed friction tester, dynamic cone penetrometer, faultmeter, mobile retroreflectometer)
