This role supports the accuracy and integrity of rent charges, tenant certifications, and compliance reporting across a diverse property portfolio.

Responsibilities
Review tenant certifications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HUD, RD, and Section 8 regulations
Track upcoming recertification deadlines and follow up with property teams on missing or incomplete documentation
Submit completed certifications to HUD or RD within required timelines
Maintain organized digital and audit‑ready records
Review and balance monthly rent reports against project worksheets for accuracy
Balance set‑aside reports to ensure ongoing affordable housing compliance
Implement rent changes in the property management system based on approved certifications
Update rent amounts, utility allowances, and income limits in accordance with regulatory updates
Serve as a resource to site teams regarding certification questions and rent‑related processes
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff regarding corrections, compliance issues, and deadlines
Provide guidance to property staff on delivering rent change notices to residents
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in affordable housing, compliance, accounting support, or property management
Working knowledge of HUD, RD, and/or Section 8 programs
Experience with property management software (Yardi, MRI, or similar)
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to review reports, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with confidential information discreetly and professionally
Self‑motivated, reliable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
