Mississippi Department of Employment Security is seeking a Fuels Accountant to join their team. The Fuels Accountant is responsible for managing fuel inventory accounting tasks, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Must demonstrate commercial or military/Government experience in performing fuel inventory accounting tasks equivalent to Military Service journeyman fuels accountant personnel
Responsible for reviewing inventory records, measurements, calculations, and documentation; preparing and inputting inventory data; preparing reports; checking for discrepancies and performing research; presenting findings and reports to applicable management for review and acceptance; etc
Must be familiar with FMD and EPOS
Plans and writes REPOL reports, stays familiar with instructions/regulations pertaining to fueling and defueling of DoD and civilian aircraft, and forms used to document aircraft fuel servicing
Complies with all technical and safety procedures related to fuel handling operations
Assists in training newly assigned personnel
Ensures compliance with environmental, occupational safety, and security programs

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Must have two years prior experience in a fuel's aviation field
Employee must be able to work for extended periods of time in the local outdoor environment
Employee must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
The applicant must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
This individual must have the ability to read and interpret general and governmental instructions/regulations
The applicant must have a valid Mississippi Driver's License
Be a United States citizen able to possess and maintain a current and valid class B driver's license for job locality, with HAZMAT and tanker endorsements
Must possess and maintain Secret Security Clearance
This applicant must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test

Preferred

Must be trained to process/record energy transactions and shall have attended the Fuels Manager Defense (FMD) Course and be current on FMD processes, training, and certifications
The applicant should have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, co-workers, and customers
