They are seeking a Claims Intern to gain practical work experience while performing technical responsibilities such as reviewing claim data and assisting in claims handling.

Responsibilities
Review claim data to assist the offices
Identify open claims with no activity for more than 60 days
Identify open suit files with no expense payment for 30 days
Assist in mapping the functions of the Claims Department for new Claims system
Review open first party claims to make sure compliance letters sent
Review TL files for compliance
Work first party claims with supervision
Phone calls to customers to survey and record how their claim was handled
Qualification
Required
Must be currently enrolled in degree program going into Sophomore, Junior or Senior year
Must have demonstrated customer service skills and experience working within a team
Computer proficiency for correspondence, data entry, e-mail, Internet, Microsoft Office 2010 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
Preferred
preferably pursuing a degree in business, finance, human resources, insurance or risk management
