Pont Engineering, Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated CEI Inspector to join their team, focusing on roadway projects in the Metro Atlanta area. The CEI Inspector will support construction quality assurance, compliance with contract documents, and daily field inspections.

Responsibilities

Inspect and monitor construction work to ensure compliance with contract specifications, drawings, and safety regulations
Conduct daily field inspections, document findings, and maintain accurate inspection records
Support on-site oversight of construction activities, ensuring quality, performance, and safety standards are followed
Collaborate with senior inspectors and project managers to resolve issues and clarify requirements
Perform material testing and verify that construction work meets applicable specifications and codes
Assist with punch list inspections, testing, and commissioning processes
Track quality assurance efforts, deficiencies, and corrective actions
Review project activities for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards
Provide timely reports on inspection results, progress, and any non-compliance issues to project staff
Communicate and coordinate with contractors, engineers, and clients to support smooth project execution and timely completion

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred
4–6 years of relevant experience in construction inspection, particularly within roadway and infrastructure projects
Solid understanding of construction practices, materials, and roadway/bridge construction processes
Experience with construction management, quality control, and compliance monitoring
Valid U.S. Driver's License required to travel to project sites
U.S. Citizenship required for project clearance

Preferred

Certifications in construction inspection (e.g., Nuclear Radiation Safety, FDEP Stormwater Inspector Certification)
CTQP Final Estimates Level I, CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I, CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I, CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I, CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Detail‑oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety standards
