Responsibilities
Responsible for developing the cloud service delivery models and architectural framework to enable Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Data as a Service (DaaS)
Implement automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices
Analyze applications and make recommendations across multiple areas to identify what platforms can move, migrate, and/or be deployed into a cloud environment
Provide strategies for failure/recovery, cost optimization, and benefit analyses of cloud, cloud-agnostic, and on-site premises services
Develop and implement cloud applications and migrate existing on-premises applications to the AWS cloud
Debug cloud stacks and manage policies for the use of AWS cloud services, including requests for new technology
Establish secure cloud environments and ensure appropriate availability/uptime design
Work independently designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing cloud software
Enhance existing cloud software for performance and scalability
Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities
Support the multi-enclave environment (Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret)
Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to ensure seamless integration
Qualification
Required
U.S. Citizenship is required
Must possess an active TS clearance at the time of application, be willing and able to obtain SCI access, and pass a CI polygraph
This position is onsite 5/days a week in Chantilly, VA
May require occasional travel for Program Increment planning sessions
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development with at least 3 years focused on AWS cloud technologies. In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level
Experience with SAFe Agile framework
Strong understanding of cloud security requirements in government environments
Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments
Plans and leads major technology assignments
Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success
Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
May supervise others
Advanced proficiency is required in: AWS GovCloud, SC2S, C2S cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Cloud security implementation, Serverless computing (Lambda, S3), Database services (RDS, DynamoDB), Cloud networking and VPC configuration, CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments, Monitoring and logging solutions
Preferred
Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent) preferred
Additional Technical Experience: Python, .NET C#, or other development languages, DevSecOps practices and tools, Microservices architecture, API Gateway implementation, Elasticsearch, Splunk, and other data platforms, SAFe Agile methodologies, Cost optimization techniques for cloud resources, Hybrid cloud and on-premises integration
