Lead/StaffFidelity Investments is seeking a Principal Systems Analyst for their Brokerage Technology Customer Communications team. The role involves modernizing legacy systems and working closely with architecture and software engineering to deliver a roadmap for new systems.

Facilitating flow of requirements from the business to the technology team
Reducing requirements and design risk and resulting costs associated with errors
Exercise a passion for keeping your knowledge up to date with evolving technology
Take ownership and accountability for figuring out what needs to be done
Qualification
Required
Deep knowledge of Mainframe COBOL, VSAM files, Batch/Online Process, Batch Scheduler, IOM (Input/Output Modules) and CICS
Proven experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) preferably worked with DB2, Oracle and/or Postgres and digging into data using logging tools
Proven professional experience as a Systems Analyst for software solutions, preference around modernizing from legacy to cloud systems. Knowledge of payment systems is a bonus
Experience researching, optimizing, developing, and authoring solution requirements, user stories, and specifications for moderate to complex software systems
Proven experience with Agile development methodologies
Excellent analytical, problem-solving & interpersonal skills
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or related technology discipline

You are deeply effective in written and verbal communications and are dedicated to tailoring content to the appropriate audience (business vs. technology, associate vs. management, etc.)
You are a self-starter who can rapidly assimilate business processes, goals and objectives and distill them into well-defined requirements
You understand how technology can automate business processes and can effectively propose, challenge, and engage in ideation with systems architecture, business operations and partner technology teams in formulating software designs and solutions
Good interpersonal and leadership and influencing skills (without direct authority of others)
Self-driven, self-managed, energetic, passionate, and motivated with the ability to work independently to deliver results
Strong coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills
